Shamar Prince, who escaped from the Lusignan Prison and was recaptured, has been sentenced to three years in jail for his breakout.
Prince, 20, a robbery convict of Amelia’s Ward, was serving two five-year sentences when he escaped from the East Coast prison at 10 am on Wednesday.
He was recaptured and yesterday taken to the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court, where Magistrate Fabayo Azore handed down the sentence after he pleaded guilty to a charge of escaping lawful custody.
