Twenty-year-old Daniel McArthur, a security officer, was on Monday jailed for a robbery committed on Thursday last on the East Coast of Demerara (ECD). He was sentenced to four years six months imprisonment.
McArthur, of Lot 22 South Vryheid’s Lust, ECD, was slapped with five charges, which include committing robbery under arms on Hardatt Munshai, and two counts each of unlawful possession of an illegal firearm and ammunition.
Appearing before Magistrate Dylon Bess at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court, McArthur pleaded guilty to three charges which include the robbery under arms and the possession of an illegal firearm and ammunition.
