Dear Editor,
It was good to see affirmative action is being taken regarding fire hydrants in the City. One such action is the Guyana Fire Service now has responsibility for the inspection, maintenance and operation of the hydrants. It is hoped all inoperable hydrants will soon be made operable and operatives upon turning up to a fire scene can access and put into operation the hydrants thus making previous performance, in this regard, a thing of the past. Some good news!
