A homeless man was stabbed multiple times about his body after being involved in an argument on Saturday night at Longden and Commerce streets, Georgetown.
The deceased man, police yesterday said is still to be identified.
Investigations have revealed that at around 7.30pm, the victim was stabbed with a pointed object in the heat of the argument. After he was stabbed, the victim fell to the ground and the suspect ran away.
Emergency Medical Technicians who responded to the distress call by public-spirited citizens pronounced the victim dead on the scene.
He was then escorted to Memorial Garden Mortuary.
Checks were made to locate the suspect but the efforts were futile.
