Three persons were yesterday added to Guyana’s COVID-19 death toll.
This was revealed by the Ministry of Health in a press release which stated that the country’s COVID-19 fatalities increased to 983. Among the deaths was a 63-year-old unvaccinated woman who passed on April 22. It was stated that the Ministry’s surveillance team recently did reconciliation of their data and added the death to the list.
Eighty-nine new cases of the virus were recorded after some 1,961 more tests were done. As such there are now 1,611 active cases. Fourteen persons are in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit.
