From today, residents and businesses in Vreed-en-Hoop, West Coast Demerara are expected to access GTT’s Fibre internet service.
GTT’s Chief Operations Officer for Home Solutions & Fixed Services, Eshwar Thakurdin, said in a press release from the company that he is proud that GTT can deliver once again on its promise.
“Connectivity is no longer a luxury. It is key to our everyday productivity. Even more so living in a pandemic, the balance between staying safe and connecting to work, entertainment and other leisure activities depends on a reliable connection – one which our company is continuously working to upgrade and expand,” he said.
“We are very proud to bring fibre to the residents & businesses of Vreed-en-Hoop, to join the other areas on the west side that already enjoy fibre – these include Bagotville, La Grange, La Parfaite Harmonie, La Retraite, Nismes, Onderneeming Phase 1, Recht door Zee, Schoonord, Toevlugt, Westminister, Parika and Tuschen”, Thakurdin added.
With the new residential plans of Fibre50, Fibre100, and Fibre150, customers in Vreed-en-Hoop can apply for the service at $8,999, $10,999, and $12,999 respectively, the release said. As part of GTT’s Christmas celebration, customers will get free installation and the first month free service. There are also special offers for GTT’s DSL customers making the switch to GTT Fibre.
Each service comes with a fixed voice line.
Business customers will also benefit from the BizFibre service with plans ranging from Biz50, Biz100, and Biz500, starting as low as $14,999, the company said.
GTT is on a campaign to connect ten thousand new homes in 2021, providing subscribers with more bandwidth and better reliability at better prices.
In September, the company unveiled its ‘GTT Fibre’ service as a major upgrade to the former Blaze service.
