I would like to take this opportunity to ask former President, Bharrat Jagdeo, what is his rationale for not supporting “Newbies” over those who have fought in the trenches against the PNC? Newbies can bring fresh ideas to the table as opposed to regurgitation of same ideas. So, no matter how incompetent those who fought in the trenches have become they will still have Bharrat Jagdeo support?
I have one word that describes the higher hierarchy of the PPP. That is, CRONYISM. Because of cronyism, the PPP leadership do not feel the need to improve themselves and inspire others. Hence, improve their surroundings. Isn’t it about time the PPP changes the way it select its Leadership? Time changes but the PPP is stuck in the past, notwithstanding it has become Bharrat Jagdeo’s PPP having changed its ideology from Cheddi Jagan PPP.
The mistake that the PPP leadership is making is that they really believe that they will be in government forever. At least, the pretense of adhering to Cheddi Jagan principles, when in fact they were just pimping Cheddi Jagan’s legacy, is gone. The question stands: “What have you got against Newbies?”
