Priyanna Ramdhani got the better of her brother Narayan in the mixed doubles final of the annual Trophy Stall sponsored Open doubles competition which brought the curtain down on the Guyana Badminton Association’s efforts for the year.
Narayan Ramdhani and Johnathon Mangra were the men’s doubles champions while Priyanna Ramdhani and Shivani Persaud were the victors of the women’s doubles. Akili Haynes and Priyanna Ramdhani copped first place in the mixed doubles category.
The tournament is the first to be held following the death of Guyana Badminton Association President, Gokarn Ramdhani, and brought the curtains down for 2021.
Over the last week, players were involved in intense doubles and mixed doubles events and the Guyana Badminton Association said that it would like to express gratitude to Ramesh Sunich for his sponsorship of trophies.
