The Alliance For Change (AFC) yesterday congratulated the newly elected Leader of the People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR) Aubrey Norton and members of the new Executive on being elevated to their high positions of office and authority.
In a release, the AFC said it looks forward to working with this new Executive to strengthen the opposition against the wrongdoings of the Government, ensuring that better benefits flow to the people of Guyana.
“This is particularly important as we confront the ills of our present circumstances, and prepare to meet the socio-economic changes that are rapidly evolving.
The people are anxious and impatient for change and we must meet their expectations”, the AFC said.
The AFC was part of the former governing coalition which also featured APNU in which the PNCR was the principal player.
