Toys distributed to Lower Pomeroon children

Journalist and radio broadcaster in Region Two Indrawattie Natram on Tuesday distributed over 260 toys and party bags to children living at Wakapau mission, Yarashirima and Massarie, Lower Pomeroon. Natram said she partnered with the Region’s Service Group, the Regional Democratic Council and the business community for the drive. “Nothing is more rewarding than giving back to children, it’s the holiday season, the pandemic is upon us compounded with the flooding and is the least I can do, I love children and I am compelled to do it” Natram further added. Businessman Hemant Takram of Shawn Mini Mart donated one hundred bags for the drive.  Natram has also partnered with Morning Glory Inc, Imam Bacchus and Sons, Multicare Pharmacy, Vande Construction, New Doctors Clinics, I-Tech Solution, Barry’s Variety Store, Badar Duck Curry bar, relatives, and friends to host the drive. Natram is currently the President of the Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha Essequibo Coast Naujawaan, Vice President of the Golden Fleece Vishwa Jhotir Mandir, and the President of the newly formed Service Group. Toshao of Wakapau Lloyd Perreira extended thanks to Natram for considering his community. He said he was happy to hear that children will receive a toy and party bags.
