Nineteen-year-old Vickash Kevin Fredericks of New Road, Region Two died on Sunday night in an accident.
Fredericks was riding his motorcycle when he lost control and slammed into a car on New Road Public Road.
The incident occurred at 7 pm. Fredericks was said to be heading home whilst the car was heading in a southern direction. Residents heard the loud impact and rushed to the scene. He was picked up in a bloody and unconscious state and rushed to the Oscar Joseph Hospital. He was then transferred to the Suddie Public Hospital and later succumbed to his injuries.
“We heard a loud impact and when we rushed to the scene we see him lying helpless and the car was flipped,” an eyewitness said.
His body is currently at the Suddie Mortuary awaiting a post-mortem examination. The driver of the car is currently in police custody assisting with investigations.
