Former Minister of Finance Winston Jordan was arraigned this morning before Chief Magistrate Ann Mc Lennan on a charge of misconduct in public office in relation to the sale of a prime piece of real estate owned by the state below market value to BK Marine Inc.
The charge stated that the property: Mudlots 1 & 2, F of Mudlot 3, A, B & D, situated at North Cummingsburg, Georgetown is valued at $5 billion and was sold for $20 million.
Jordan, who was not required to plead to the charge, was released on $3 million bail and is expected to return to court on February 10 2022.
