The Eon DeViera Goalkeeping Academy Inc will sponsor the Best Goalkeeper Prizes for the ongoing Guyana Football Federation (GFF)/Kashif and Shanghai Super-16 Championship as well as the Guyana National Women’s Football Association (GNWFA) Festival.
This was confirmed by an official release from the entity which also informed that the best custodian in the men’s championship will receive a trophy and a financial incentive, while the leading shot-stopper in the Women’s tournament will pocket a trophy and three months’ supply of Bliss by Blu Hair Cream.
Director of the academy and current national coach, Eon DeViera said, “We are committed to the development of all goalkeepers in Guyana. We understand the importance of the goalkeepers in football and would like to create an enthusiasm for this position.”
He further stated, “We have contributed and will continue to contribute to the GFF-K&S year-end tournament and we are pleased to be associated with them. This year we would be sponsoring the Best Goalkeepers prizes for both the Men and Women Super 16 tournaments.”
Accepting the prizes on behalf of the tournament organisers was GFF President Wayne Forde, who praised the academy for its timely contribution.
“On behalf of the respective organisers, I would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Eon DeViera Goalkeeping Academy Inc for being a part of both competitions in a tangible way. I am sure the goalkeepers would be taking note of the prizes and go all out to capture the eyes of the adjudicators in order to win the prize in each tournament. We look forward to your continued support and wish the Academy the very best for years to come.”
