Two held over robbing of Charity businessman, wife on New Year’s Day

Prompt action by the Region Two police resulted in the capture of two men believed to have robbed a Charity businessman and his wife on New Year’s Day.

The suspects were apprehended after a five-hour manhunt in the densely forested area off Lima Sands. 

The suspects were caught with cash and phone cards. The cash recovered amounted to $4,822,641 and the phone cards were valued at $1.1 M. Both suspects are from Region Four and were visiting the region. The suspects are 21 and 25 and hail from D’Urban Street and South Ruimveldt.
