Almost 850 new COVID-19 cases were recorded yesterday with the Health Minister stating that younger persons are most affected.
This was disclosed during Dr Frank Anthony’s COVID-19 update where he informed that over the last 24 hours, 847 new cases were reported along with two deaths. This increase has taken the country’s total active cases up significantly with there now being 4,295 active cases.
A breakdown by region shows that the highest number of active cases are in Region Four with 2,789 cases followed by Region Six which has 438 active cases. Further, there are 351 cases in Region Three, 113 in Region Seven, 208 in Region Nine and 203 in Region Ten, with a smaller number of cases spread across the other regions.
