Centuries from Shimron Hetmyer and Tevin Imlach as well as a five-wicket haul from Antony Adams stole the spotlight on the third day of the Guyana Harpy Eagles’ Best versus Best Four-Day match at the Albion Community Development Centre ground yesterday.
Keemo Paul’s XI, resuming on 154 for two, still 100 runs behind Leon Johnson’s XI’s first innings score, were indebted to Hetmyer and Imlach who converted their 98-run partnership into a massive 233-run stand that eventually resulted in Paul’s XI reaching 357 all out in 138.5 overs.
Hetmyer, swiftly transitioned from his overnight total of 69 into a top score of 149. His six-hour vigil at the crease saw him hitting seven fours and a six from 256 balls before he was caught by Vishaul Singh off the bowling of Essequibo seamer, Joshua Jones.
