In the issue of Stabroek News of October 11, 2021, in an article entitled `Guyanese woman faces expensive court battles after bid to end abusive relationship in Mauritius’, a number of allegations about Mr. Terence Smith of the Republic of Mauritius were made, regarding him and his former partner, Guyanese national, Teresa de Freitas.
Stabroek News on further review is satisfied that some inferences may be drawn from the article which may unjustifiably cause him embarrassment, and regret any inconvenience which may have been caused.
