The Ministry of Health today said that as of January 8th three more persons who tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have died. This takes the total number of deaths from the pandemic to 1070.
The latest fatalities are an unvaccinated male, 74, from Region Six; an unvaccinated female, 63, from Region Four and a fully vaccinated female, 84 from Region Six.
Meanwhile, in keeping with the trend in recent days, a high number of new infections has been reported. Today’s dashboard placed the figure at 657. Five persons are in the ICU.
