Rose Hall Canje Arborsmart registered an emphatic 295-run drubbing of Edinburgh Warriors yesterday as the Berbice Cricket Board Telenec Under-15 got underway.

Playing on home turf, Rose Hall Canje won the toss and opted to bat, where they chalked up 353 for the loss of one from their 50-over allotment. The bowlers then returned to bundle out Warriors for 58 as they surrendered in 13.2 overs.

The day belonged to Adrian Hetmyer, son of former national youth cricketer, Seon Hetmyer and nephew of West Indies batsman, Shimron Hetmyer. The 12-year-old stroked two sixes and three boundaries as he toiled for more than three hours at the crease, eventually finishing on 121 not out from 138 balls.
