Over 100 students aged seven to 15 years old are benefitting from a compre-hensive online program-me, conducted by the Guyana Chess Federation (GCF), to learn and study the game of chess.
The GCF’s online chess programme has commenc-ed for 2022 and so far 20 schools have registered. The Bishops’ High, through its physical education teacher Daniel Benjamin, and the Anna Regina Secondary, through its headmaster Lalljeet Rooplall, are the latest schools to join the initiative. Older students are also invited to attend the online classes, according to a press release from the GCF. The chess programme began last Sunday and will last for the next six weeks.
