An Upper Pomeroon man died in a boat mishap on Tuesday night.
The dead man has been identified as Chive Persaud, 23, called Boyo.
According to information, Persaud had journeyed to Port Kaituma and was sitting at the back of a boat when the propeller came loose and hit him in his head.
He was rushed to the Mabaruma Regional Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Persaud was the only son of his parents.
