A 55-year-old Charlestown resident was arrested on Wednesday following the discovery of a quantity of cannabis.
In a brief statement, the Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) said that ranks acting on information received conducted a search operation at Lot 6 Ketley and Drysdale streets, Charlestown, George-town during which a quantity of suspected cannabis was found.
As such, Debra Perreira was taken into custody and escorted to CANU Headquarters where the cannabis was weighed and amounted to 912 grams.
She is likely to be charged soon.
