Albouystown man claims he was drunk during break and enter theft

An Albouystown man yesterday told a city magistrate that he was drunk when he walked into an apartment and stole laptops and other items.

Christopher Gonsalves, 30, of Independence Bou-levard, Albouystown, was brought before Principal Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts. He confessed that on January 21, at Camp Street, Werk-en-Rust, Georgetown, he broke into the apartment, and stole a haversack, two laptops, a Nigerian passport, personal documents, a cellphone, a bag, a charger, several flashdrives and other personal items, amounting to $389,500, in value.
