Officers from the Guyana Wildlife Conservation and Management Commission (GWCMC) yesterday confiscated several yellow and red-footed tortoises from an individual who was displaying them for sale in an inhumane manner and was not in possession of a permit.
The tortoises are currently in the possession of the GWCMC and are being monitored, a post on its Facebook page said.
