The ‘Bannas’ Foundation in conjunction with the South Turkeyen Sports Committee (STSC), will host a 3-a-side U14 small-goal football competition tomorrow at the Meadowbrook Gardens Tarmac.
According to a STSC release, the tournament which is scheduled to commence at 10:00hrs, will feature teams inclusive of the hosts, from the communities of Tucville and Lodge housing schemes. Medals and trophies will be presented to the top three finishers.
Meanwhile, the STSC will stage a Day of Sports on Sunday at the ‘B’ Field Sophia ground. Amongst the activities scheduled include a 3-a-side U14 and senior small-goal football competition, as well as a King and Queens dominoes tournament. Prizes for the top three finishers will be awarded and include cash incentives, medals and trophies. The sponsors of the tournament include Trophy Stall, Deputy Mayor Alfred Mentore, and Kent Phillips of Antarctic Maintenance.
The coordinators of the events are Kevin Walcott and Johnny ‘Overseas’ Barnwell.
