Says Charwayne Walker
The only time a Guyanese fast bowler has captured a 10-wicket match-haul in regional first-class cricket was January of 2000.
The battle was Guyana versus Trinidad and Tobago at Guaracara Park. The hosts, with world-record holder Brian Lara at the helm of their batting, had no answers for Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) and Guyana speedster Reon Dane King.
King rocked the hosts in their first innings with 5 for 71 from 31 overs. In their second innings he was almost unplayable with 5 for 24 from 20 overs giving him the only 10 wicket match-haul by a Guyanese pacer in regional first-class cricket.
