On 8th February 2022, a Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) Officer whilst on duty at the Eugene F. Correia International Airport conducted a search of a passenger and his luggage, which resulted in the discovery of a quantity of suspected cannabis in two Pringles tins.
Jamal Millington, 24, of Ameliaโs Ward Linden, was arrested and escorted to CANU HQ with the suspected narcotic, where it was tested and proven to be cannabis weighing a total of 56.3 grams.
Investigations are ongoing.
