A 25-year-old is one of Guyana’s two new COVID-19 deaths.
According to the Ministry of Health, the country’s latest deaths have increased the total number of deaths from COVID-19 here to 1,190.
They were identified as a 25-year-old woman from Region Three who was unvaccinated and an 84-year-old man from Region Four who was fully vaccinated. They both died on February 10.
Meanwhile, the ministry’s updated COVID-19 dashboard showed 95 new infections from some 812 more tests that were conducted. As a result, there are now 2,036 active cases, of which 15 are patients at the COVID-19 intensive Care Unit.
Further the Ministry of Health’s dashboard showed that some 1,201 more persons recovered from the virus, increasing the total number of recovered cases to 58,930.
