Essequibo names U15 squad

The Essequibo Cricket Board (ECB) has named its 15-member Under-15 squad and five reserves to contest the GCB Under-15 inter- county tournament to be held in March in Georgetown.

According to a release from the County Board, “the selection was made after a three-day trial at the Imam Bacchus Cricket Ground Affiance Essequibo Coast.”

The release detailed 48 young cricketers from seven areas committees affiliated to the ECB attended the trials.

No coach, manager, captain or vice-captain was named but the release indicated that those positions will be named prior to the team departing for the upcoming competition.

The players selected are: Omarion Smith, Ethan Silas, Ravid Fredericks, Earo Benjamin, Nazaam Mohamed, Bomesh Lall, Virendra Pooran, Krishna Gobardhan, Videsh Rooplall, Rakesh Kellawan, Zandon Rose, Hemant Sukdeo, Nicholas Lovell, Elisha Ramdatt and Christopher Williams.

The reserves include: Rondel Singh, Jadesh Sahadeo, Ian Kanhai, Mondel Edwards and Khemol Harakram.
