Alex Douglas who stabbed his reputed wife to death back in 2012 and later attempted to commit suicide, will be sentenced on March 3rd, after pleading guilty to the capital offence yesterday morning.
Appearing virtually from the Lusignan Prison, Douglas said he was guilty of murdering Allison Bowen, a mother of three, on October 14th, 2012 at Goedverwagting on the East Coast of Demerara.
The now 52-year-old man also admitted that on the same day that he wounded Nichola King with intent to cause her grievous bodily harm; or to maim, disfigure or disable her.
Justice Simone Morris-Ramlall deferred sentencing to facilitate the presentation of a probation report.
