The Guyana Chess Federation (GCF) is seeking stronger ties with the international chess community to assist in its ongoing programme of development.
Recently, Vice-President of the GCF Anand Raghunauth attended a meeting in Mexico City, Mexico, at which President of FIDE (World Chess Federation) Arkady Dvorkovich and other senior officials of chess administration for the Americas were present. At that forum, Raghunauth outlined the GCF’s plans for the future. Promising agreements were made with the federations of Uruguay, Costa Rica and Barbados for mutual support.
