Two persons were injured after a car slammed into a restaurant in New Amsterdam last evening.
According to information gathered, the man was driving a private 212 along Main Street, New Amsterdam when he slammed into the Big B’s Restaurant around 10 pm injuring two persons in the process and shattering the restaurant’s glass frontage.
Commander of Region Six, Boodnarine Persaud, last evening confirmed, that based on initial reports two persons were injured but not critically.
Eyewitnesses on the scene told Stabroek News that the car was driving at a fast rate when the man suddenly turned into the restaurant causing persons in the vicinity to scatter.
An investigation has been launched into the matter.
