Chinese national, two taxi drivers remanded over liquefied cocaine

A Chinese national is now on remand after being charged with possession of  8.8 kilogrammes of liquefied cocaine to be shipped from Guyana to China via a courier company.

Xiu Feng Wang was taken yesterday before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan at the George-town Magistrate’s Court.  He denied that on February 11, at DHL Express, Lot 50 Fifth Street, Alberttown, Georgetown, he trafficked 8.8 kilogrammes of cocaine. 

The Chief Magistrate remanded him yesterday when the charge was read to him and the matter was adjourned until March 17.
