The trial of Stafrei Alexander and Owen Belfield who are accused of the 2015 murder of Linden resident, Richard Remmington, is set to commence on Monday, February 28th at the High Court in Demerara.
The jury hearing the matter was empaneled yesterday morning before Justice Brassington Reynolds, who will be presiding over the trial.
The indictment against the jointly-charged duo to which they have pleaded not guilty, alleges that they murdered Remmington at Wismar, Linden, between February 9th and 12th of 2015.
They are both being represented by defence attorney Adrian Thompson, while the State is being represented by prosecutor Seeta Bishundial.
