East Coast got the early breakthrough in the third over with Lomar Seecharran falling to Alonzo Ramsingh for a 13-ball duck. However, his opening partner Silas, carried on to make 60 from 138 balls. Silas’s innings featured nine fours and one six before he was bowled by Mickel Sharma who also removed Reyaz Latif with the next delivery to end with 6-23 from 6.3 overs.
Silas added 60 for the fourth wicket with Peter Khan who made 13 from 36 balls before he was dismissed by Ravin Persaud.
Shane Prince and Dave Mohabir chipped in with 19 runs each but extras proved to be a hefty contributor to the tally with 50, 33 of which were no balls.
In the chase, Munesh Outar top scored with a patient 62-ball 13 before he was caught and bowled by Henry. Aaron Kissoon was the only other batsman to reach double figures with 10 from 60 balls before being bowled by Henry.
Henry worked his way through the lower order to eventually end with six wickets for just four runs from eight overs. Latif returned to pick up 2-11 but eventually, Georgetown gifted 24 extras.
Today Georgetown will take on East Bank at MYO while East Coast will battle West Demerara at Enmore.
