BRUSSELS, (Reuters) – European Union leaders today adopted tough new sanctions on Russia, hitting its economy and elites in response to President Vladimir Putin’s “barbaric” invasion of Ukraine.

WASHINGTON,  (Reuters) – President Joe Biden hit Russia with a wave of sanctions today after Moscow invaded Ukraine, measures that impede Russia’s ability to do business in major currencies along with sanctions against banks and state-owned enterprises.
