The Government of Guyana yesterday said that it is  “gravely concerned” over the recent “military intervention by Russia in violation of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine”.

In a statement, the government called for an immediate cessation of hostilities and a return to diplomacy.

Ukraine yesterday came under sustained attacks on three fronts by Russian military forces following weeks of warnings from the west that an invasion was imminent.
