After being floored by the COVID-19 pandemic, amateur boxing is back on its feet and will make a fighting return tomorrow in the form of the Pepsi Mike Parris National U-16 Boxing tournament.
These and other details were disclosed yesterday during a press briefing by the Guyana Boxing Association (GBA).
The event which will see in excess of 40 pugilists battling for trophies and medals, returns to its roots after a two-year hiatus. According to president of the association, Steve Ninvalle, the 11th edition of fixture will box off from noon at the Andrew ‘Sixhead’ Lewis Gym.
