Cyclists get ready, the annual Burnham Memorial road race will be staged tomorrow.
The Flying Stars Cycle club organized 35-mile event will get cracking from 07:30hrs on CARIFESTA Avenue. The peloton will head east to Belfield and return to the point of origin for the finish.
Sponsored by the Burnham Foundation, the road race, the second for the 2022 season will handsomely reward the top wheelsmen in the numerous categories.
Riders in the Open, Junior and Veteran categories will go wheel-to-wheel for the top honours.
The race, which will be held under strict COVID-19 measures, was recently given the green light by the COVID-19 Task Force.
Cycling standout, Marcus Keiler won last year’s edition. Keiler along with the rest of the starters will be gunning to record their first win of the year after Kemuel Moses won the season opener two weeks ago. Moses will be aiming to extend his win streak.
With top guns like Jamual John, Paul DeNobrega, Briton John, Chris Griffith and Alex Mendes gearing up to saddle, a thrilling race is on the cards.
