Jamual John is back to his winning ways.
After placing fifth in the season opener two weeks ago, the star cyclist returned to the front of the peloton yesterday and added another first place trophy to his palmares’.
Arguably the best cyclist on the local circuit, John bested a quality field of wheelsmen to win the 35-mile Forbes Burnham Memorial road race which was staged from CARIFESTA Avenue to Belfield and back.
Clad in a crisp black and white racing kit, the national rider stopped the clock in a brisk 1h: 11m: 43s.
He led Lyn Murray and Christopher Griffith onto the podium while Alex Mendes, Alex Leung and last year’s winner, Marcus Keiler filled out the top six rewarding positions.
Murray led Mendes and Paul Choo-Wee-Nam as the top three veterans while Leung was the first junior rider ahead of Arjune Sookhai and Akon Europe.
The top three O-50 cyclists were Ian Jackson, Talim Shaw and Shameer Baksh.

Marica Dick and Clavecia Spencer were the top females in the Flying Stars organized fixture.
