A 24-year-old motorcyclist died last night after he was involved in an accident along the Agricola Public Road, East Bank Demerara (EBD).
Dead is Nionel Berkley of East Ruimveldt, Georgetown.
Police Commander of Region 4A, Simon McBean last night confirmed the accident which occurred around 9 pm.
At the time, Berkley was said to be heading home.
Preliminary reports are that Berkley allegedly collided with a pedestrian. As a result of the impact, he sustained injuries and was taken to the hospital where he succumbed.
The female pedestrian, whose identity remains unknown up to press time is said to be hospitalised in a critical condition.
Berkley was a driver at the Ministry of Labour.
