The trial of Junior France for the 2020 alleged murder of 17-year-old miner, Dane Jerrick, is set to commence on Thursday before Justice Jo-Ann Barlow at the High Court at Suddie.
A jury was empaneled yesterday morning to hear the case against France called ‘Bora,’ which alleges that he murdered Jerrick on May 17th, 2020 at Puruni Landing, Mazaruni River, Essequibo.
The accused has pleaded not guilty to the capital indictment.
The prosecution through state counsel Tiffini Lyken is expected to call eight witnesses.
France is being represented by defence attorneys Nigel Hughes and Ronald Daniels.
