A woman who police said was wanted for obtaining money by false pretence yesterday surrendered and was released on $200,000 bail.
According to the Guyana Police Force, Amrita Bahadur, of last known address Garnett Street, Kitty, was wanted by police for questioning in relation to obtaining money by false pretense. Her attorney, Bernard Da Silva, told this newspaper that after giving herself up, she was subsequently released on $200,000 bail.
It was reported that the incidents were alleged to have occurred in Georgetown between June 2021 and February 2022.
