National badminton players Narayan sibling Priyanna Ramdhani were both adjudged Alberta Colleges’ Athletics Conference (ACAC) All Conference Awards.
According to a press release, Narayan was also voted the ACAC Male Player of the Year.
The Ramdhanis are on scholarship at Kings University and Old College respectively and represented their respective schools at the championship.
Next up for the duo is the ACAC Badminton Championship (Provincials) which was played last weekend at Olds College. This tournament is also the qualifiers to represent Alberta Colleges at the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (Nationals) which is also scheduled to be played during this month.
Earlier last month the Ramdhani siblings participated in the Alberta Colleges’ Athletics Conference Interlock number two tournament at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT), Alberta Canada.
Priyanna Ramdhani reached the semi-finals where she was defeated by Jasleen Kaur 14-21, 21-4 and 21-13.
She, however, defeated Cecilia Wolski, 21-7, 21-9 for third place.
Narayan, though, reached the finals where he was defeated by Smit Patel 18-21, 20-22.
Priyanna also placed third in the Women’s doubles while Narayan and Abigail Ledda of Kings University won the mixed doubles.
