In celebration of International Women’s Day yesterday, the Guyana Sugar Corporation (GuySuCo) yesterday placed female employees to head major departments for a day.
A release from GuySuCo said that leading this group of women was Rama Persaud who was assigned to head the Corporation as Chief Executive Officer for the day.
“Just as women are integrated in the workforce worldwide, GuySuCo also integrates its women workforce and ensures equal rights are enjoyed by them. Moreover, the Corporation understands the importance of the inter-connectivity of gender and social equity and as such recognises the innovative ideas of all women who strive towards building a sustainable future”, the release said.
