Two men were taken into custody on Tuesday following the discovery of $6.5 million worth in cocaine at Tucville, George-town.
In custody are Devon Simon, 43, of West Ruimveldt, George-town and Winston Hazel, 35, of Gibson Street, Tucville, Georgetown.
The Customs-Anti Narcotic Unit (CANU) in a press release said that ranks acting on intelligence conducted an operation in Guyhoc Park, Tucville, Georgetown.
During the process, CANU said a motor car which was occupied by Simon and Hazel was intercepted and a search unearthed five parcels of suspected cocaine.
The duo were escorted to CANU Headquarters where the substance tested positive for cocaine.
It was weighed and amounted to 5.8 kilogrammes with a street value of $6.5M. men are likely to appear in court
soon.
