A young baker was stabbed to death on Thursday night during an argument at Alberttown, Georgetown with an older brother, who has since been arrested for the crime.
Dead is Moses Anthony, 25, of Lot 28 Third Street, Alberttown, Georgetown.
Police yesterday confirmed that Anthony’s 37-year-old brother was arrested and remained in police custody.
The killing occurred around 21.30 hrs at Third Street, Alberttown. The brothers lived in separate houses located in the same yard.
According to a police statement, their investigations revealed that Anthony went home last Thursday night and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.
Investigators were told that Anthony went to his brother’s home and started to hit on his door.
As a result, an argument ensued and escalated into a scuffle.
During the scuffle, the police said, Anthony’s brother armed himself with a piece of ceramic tile which he picked up from the ground and stabbed Anthony to his throat. Anthony fell to the ground and began to bleed profusely. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The dead man’s brother made no attempt to flee and was arrested by police shortly after they arrived at the location.
