Dear Editor,
On March 11, 2020 the first COVID-19 death was reported in Guyana. Below is a chart of where we are two years later per region based on infections, vaccines, and deaths.
Please note that Region 8 data remains problematic probably due to geographical location and communication concerns/issues [the last infection was reported on February 16, 2022 and the last death was reported in November 2021].
All data are from publicly available sources.
While both infections and deaths are up to date, the vaccination figures lag behind by at least a week.
