For last year, the Guyana Police Force (GPF) seized a total of 71 illegal firearms.
Commissioner of Police (ag) Nigel Hoppie made this disclosure last Thursday while delivering remarks at the Annual Officers’ Conference.
Hoppie said out of the firearms seized, 36 were pistols. Also seized were 18 revolvers and 17 shotguns.
