Children with disabilities in Region Two will soon be able to access specialised learning at a special needs school that will be constructed in the region.
The announcement was made by PPP/C Regional Democratic Councillor (RDC) Shaleenie Sukdeo, who is Chairperson of the Regional Education Committee.
During her report at the last sitting of the statutory meeting of the RDC, Sukdeo said two major capital projects were approved for the Department of Education in the region’s budget. They are: the construction of a special needs school and the extension of the Charity Nursery. She said that the two projects will significantly improve the delivery of education in the region.
